The 2019 Western Canadian Championships were held in Saskatoon, at the University of Saskatchewan Fieldhouse from April 25th to April 27th. Board member Kendra Tower was our Team Manager.
As Chef de Mission, I was very impressed by our gymnasts’ professionalism during and throughout the meet. They were disciplined, motivated and focused. Our three days were filled with training sessions, competitions, and lots of travel between the hotel and the venue. Along with daily scheduled bus transportation, Kendra and I also helped in transporting our gymnasts and coaches to and from the hotel, to coincide with their competition times each day.
Congratulations to all the gymnasts and coaches for their hard work and successes.

I take this opportunity to personally thank Ms. Tower for her hard work and role as manager for Western Canadians. With the time synchronized help of all our coaches, Kendra set up an efficient travel schedule and maintained a steady hand with our gymnasts as we traveled between the hotel and the competition site with 2 coordinated vans.
