On January 22nd to 24th, Panthers gym Club hosted their annual Snowflake Invitational Competitions. Even though I was not able to attend all three days, I was told the competition ran smoothly. In total 9 provincial clubs and 3 out of province clubs were in attendance.
Robert Pereschino and Hélène Desmarais along with the staff and parent volunteers did an excellent job in overseeing the 3 day event.
Crescentwood, Flippers, Gymcats, GymKyds, Keystone Kips, Mat Cats from Red Lake Ont., Morden Magics, Neepawa Novas, QCK from Regina, Springers, Sunset Gym from Dryden Ont., Teulon Gymnastics Club, and the home team, Panthers, were in attendance over the three days.
The competition had 12 separate sessions, from Beginner to High Performance with one session of Tumbling and Trampoline. I enjoyed the two sessions which I attended Sunday afternoon and I also had the luxury of taking photos. The best photos are always forwarded to the gym clubs in attendance.
The viewing gallery, both at the gym level and on the second floor, provided spectators with an excellent view of the gymnasts displaying their talents. In speaking with the coaching staff, a few judges and some older competitors, all were excited to see how the year was progressing. The parents were mostly interested in their daughters’ progression in the sport.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the competition and want to personally thank Robert and Hélène for the invitation. I also wish to thank the Panthers staff for organizing an excellent competition. I’m sure a great time was had by all.
