On December 7th, the Springers Gym Club hosted one of two WP Canada Winter Games trials where three clubs, Brandon Eagles, Panthers and Springers Gym Clubs were in attendance. On December 9th, the very same teams competed at Panthers Gymnastics where both athletes’ scores were combined and the team was picked for the Canada Winter Games.
Coaches Robert Persechino (Panthers), Lorie Henderson (Eagles), Rachelle Valel (Springers), and their coaching staff were present to oversee the trials. The event involved ten gymnasts, 3 from Panthers, 3 from Springers and 4 from the Eagles.
At each of the two competitions, gymnasts warmed-up on the floor area prior to each of the events. The viewing galleries at both events provided spectators with an excellent opportunity to watch all the gymnasts. Parents, family members, friends and many grandparents were present to watch and cheer on all the gymnasts.
As I have done in the past, I took photos and passed them along to the participating clubs. All scores have been posted on the MGA website.
