The Keystone Kips Invitational Competition was held on March 4th and 5th, 2017. This two-day meet provided regional clubs with an opportunity to compete at the Beginner to Pre-Provincial levels. I visited for the full day on Sunday, March 5th, and was delighted by the number of clubs that were participating.
Thirteen clubs were in attendance: Fantastic, Beausejour, Morden, Panthers, Selkirk, Silhouettes, Springers, Steinbach Flippers, Swan Valley Cheetahs, Teulon, Winnipeg Gymnastics Centre, and the host club, Keystone Kips.
The organization committee was comprised of Jane Turkula, Karly Miller, and many other club volunteers. From my vantage point, everyone involved in the organization of Sunday’s meet was kept busy in making sure that the proceedings ran smoothly during the course of the day. All three sessions were filled to capacity with spectators, parents, grandparents and friends watching their favorite gymnast, but also cheering on all the other young participants.
I would like to thank all the gymnasts, coaches, judges, volunteers, and spectators for an incredible day. Finally, thank you to the Keystone Kips Gym Club for their invitation; it was my pleasure to attend. All participant results are posted on the MGA website.
