On February 2nd to February 4th, 2018, Springers Gymnastics Club hosted the Royal Classic Intermediate/Advanced/Pre-Provincial gymnasts along with JO 5 through to JO 10, and the Pre Novice Aspire 1 competitors.
I attended on Friday and Saturday, all but the very last session. A family commitment kept me away on Sunday.
Parents, grandparents, friends, and others were entertained by 372 talented gymnasts competing at various levels. Participating clubs were: Brandon Eagles, Crescentwood, Gymkyds, Keystone Kips, Panthers, Red Lake, Selkirk, Silhouettes, Steinbach, Winnipeg Gymnastics, and the host club, Springers.
All gymnasts who competed have their names and scores posted on the MGA website. As usual I took photos of the various events and passed them on to the clubs which gymnasts are associated with. A few random shots are posted on the MGA site.
Thank you to the Springers Gym Club, especially Rachelle Valel and Kendra Tower, for the invitation and the honour of handing out awards. Credit also goes to the coaches, judges, gymnasts, and volunteers who time and time again, work remarkably well together to make these competitions a success. On behalf of the MGA, I take this opportunity to recognize everyone’s commitment to the sport.
