Awards Nomination FormThe Jack Mowat Recognition Award:
- Awarded to MGA members who have made significant and long-lasting contributions to the Manitoba Gymnastics Association
- Awarded to Officials, Volunteers, Coaches etc. who have shown outstanding achievements in the sport of Gymnastics in Manitoba
- Minimum of 10 years involvement in Gymnastics in Manitoba.
- This award will require a nomination form to be completed and submitted to the MGA Awards Committee, chaired by the Member at Large on the Board of Directors.
- 1 person will be chosen per year.
MGA Special Achievement Award:
The Special Achievement Awards consists of 4 Categories:
1. Coach – Criteria:
- Willingness to share ideas and to help others
- Creativity and input to the sport
- Professionalism and respect to others
- Leadership and sportsmanship
- Professional development and NCCP status
- Achievements of gymnasts under their guidance
- Minimum 5 years of involvement as a member with the MGA
2. Judge – Criteria:
- Willingness to accept and carry out judging responsibilities at clinics and competitions
- Exhibit professionalism during judging assignments
- Demonstration of an attitude of respect, co-operation and appreciation for fellow judges, coaches, gymnasts, etc.
- Acceptance of leadership responsibilities which include the development of judges in Manitoba.
- Demonstration a sense of good sportsmanship and fair play
- Minimum 5 years of involvement as a member of MGA
3. Administrator – Criteria:
- Commitment through contribution to the MGA and development of the Sport
- Dedication to developing through sport of gymnastics at any level
- Emphasis would be on a provincial scale
- Minimum 5 years of involvement as a member of the MGA
4. Volunteer – Criteria:
- Commitment through contribution to the MGA and development of Gymnastics in Manitoba at any level
- Emphasis would be on a provincial scale
- Minimum 5 years of participation with the MGA
