On Saturday, December 17th, and Sunday, December 18th, I attended the Winnipeg Gymnastics Centre’s Regional Stream and JO 5-10 competitions. The event included 3 sessions on Saturday: Intermediate Birth years 2003 to 2006, Birth years 2001-02, 2007-08, and Advanced Birth years 1999-2007.
On Sunday, the competition sessions were comprised of Pre-Provincial, Junior Olympic Level 6 and Junior Olympic Levels 5, 7 and 8.
The two-day event hosted 209 participants from the following clubs: Brandon Eagles, Fantastic, Keystone Kips, Panthers, Selkirk Selects, Springers, Steinbach Flippers, Teulon and the host club, Winnipeg Gymnastics Centre.
After all the proceedings were done and the scores tallied, ribbons and medals were handed out. Thank you to all the volunteers, score keepers, coaches and judges for their hard work. On behalf of the MGA, I wish to thank the Winnipeg Gymnastics Centre for hosting the competition. I now look forward to the Regional, JO Levels 5-10 and the T and T competitions being held in the New Year.
