City of Winnipeg Recreation Services is looking for contract instructors & assistants for Pre-school and Children’s Gymnastics Programs!
Qualifications:
• Experience in gymnastics
• Experience working with children
• Criminal record check and venerable sector completed within the past 3 months or willingness to obtain before start date (cost to instructor)
• Valid CPR level “C” and first aid from – St. Johns Ambulance, Red Cross or Criti-care or willingness to obtain before start date (cost to instructor)
Instructor Positions & Class Details:
Instructors are responsible for planning and executing weeks of progressive gymnastics/ tumblers or kinder gym classes, help develop skills and encourage participation in a safe environment.
Sundays – Jan 15-Mar 19 (9 weeks) @ East End Cultural & Leisure Centre (575 Larsen Ave) Gymnastics Intro – Ages 6-12 3 classes 10:00 – 11:00, 11:00 – 12:00 pm, 12:00 – 1:00 pm
Gymnastics Level 1 – Ages 6-10 1 class 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
Gymnastics Level 1 – Ages 10-15 1 class 3:00 – 4:30 pm
Mondays-Jan 16 – Mar 20 (9 weeks) @ East End Cultural & Leisure Centre ( 575 Larsen Ave)
Tumblers – Parent & Child Ages 2-3 1 class 5:45 pm – 6:30 pm
Gymnastics – Ages 4-5 1 class 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Saturdays – Jan 21 – Mar 18 (9 weeks) @ East End Cultural & Leisure Centre (575 Larsen Ave)
Tumblers – Parents & Child Ages 2-3 1 class 9:30 – 10:15 am
Kinder Gym – Ages 3-4 1 class 10:25-11:10 am
Tumblers – Parent & Child Ages 2-3 1 class 11:20 -12:05 am
Gymnastics – Ages 4-5 2 classes 12:15 -1:15 pm, 1:30pm – 2:30 pm
Assistant Position & Class Details: Assistants role is to help the instructor run the class smoothly, you will be expected to set up equipment’s, watch the children and encourage participation in a safe environment.
Saturdays – Jan 21 – Mar 18 (9 weeks) @ East End Cultural & Leisure Centre (575 Larsen Ave)
Tumblers – Parents & Child Ages 2-3 1 class 9:30 – 10:15 am
Kinder Gym – Ages 3-4 1 class 10:25-11:10 am
Tumblers – Parent & Child Ages 2-3 1 class 11:20 -12:05 am
Gymnastics – Ages 4-5 2 classes 12:15 -1:15 pm, 1:30pm – 2:30 pm
Wage: 16$/hr for instructor 13$/hr for assistants or based on qualifications.
