GFA Workshop Series – Understanding the Preschool Child

Coaching preschool children presents its own challenges in the gymnastics environment. In order to effectively teach young children, it is important to understand their developmental stages and how those stages affect behavior as well as cognitive understanding. In this session we will cover the following topics and how they relate to effective communication with preschoolers: Perception of Self, Levels of Thought, Fantasy & Games, Emergence of Pessimism: The Delayed Terrible Twos, Learning Styles, “One, Two, Three Rule”, Discipline: Avoiding Time-Out! PD points will be awarded for each session attended, the MGA will automatically these PD Points based attendance (no email necessary)
