President’s Report on the Keystone Kips Classic

The Keystone Kips Classic Competition was held on March 1st, 2nd and 3rd, where I attended all day Sunday. This three-day meet provided regional clubs with an opportunity to compete at the JO1-JO7 levels. I was delighted by the number of clubs that participated on Sunday.

A total of 11 clubs were in attendance: Crescentwood, Gymkyds, Gimli, Southport, Morden, Panthers, Selkirk, Spartans, Springers, Steinbach Flippers, Southport, Sunset Gym Club from Dryden Ont., Winnipeg Gymnastics Centre, and the host club, Keystone Kips.

The organization committee was comprised of Jane Turkula and other club volunteers. From my vantage point, everyone involved in the organization of Sunday’s meet was kept busy in making sure that the proceedings ran smoothly during the course of the day. All four sessions had large crowds made up of parents, grandparents and friends. All were watching their favorites, but also cheering for others participating.

I would like to thank all gymnasts, coaches, judges, volunteers, and spectators for an incredible day. Finally, thank you to the Keystone Kips Gym Club for their invitation and allowing me to present awards; it was my pleasure to attend. All participant results are posted on the MGA website.
